Ben Bell
Ben has had a passion for sport from a young age, growing up playing Rugby League and Athletics. It was in his late teenage years he developed a love for Surf Boat Rowing, competing at a national level over many years and participating in the Uncle Toby’s Super Series. The Hawaiian Ironman was an event he was in awe of from a young age and in 2011 the dream become reality.
As a husband and father of two young girls he understands the demands and importance of balance when coaching his athletes.
Personal Triathlon Experience
Ben first became involved with Triathlon in 2010 and has experienced a great deal of success since then. During his triathlon career, Ben has raced at the highest level in triathlon including the Ironman World Championship, 70.3 World Championship, Standard (Olympic) and Sprint distances.
Some of Ben’s personal triathlon success has included:
- World Champion Ironman 2015
- 3rd Place Ironman World Championship 2017
- 2nd Place 70.3 World Championship 70.3 2016
- 4 x times fastest overall age grouper in Ironman races
- Multiple Australian titles from standard distance to Ironman
- 5 x Kona finisher, 4 x top 10
Ben has eased back on his racing commitments and is devoted to both his junior draft legal athletes and long course athletes. The development of one of the strongest junior squads in NSW has seen over 10 athletes selected in NSW squads, Billigence Series champions, Australian Junior representatives. Adult Australian long course champions, Kona qualifiers and 70.3 World Championship participants.

Coaching Philosophy
Ben’s coaching philosophy is one of balance and enjoyment. Triathlon should complement your lifestyle and not be a burden to it. Embracing technology and developing athletes’ self-awareness so they can achieve their goals. Targeted training zones, skill development, race specific training to have you ready to compete and achieve your goals come race day.

Scott Ashcroft
Scott has always had a passion for sport and has represented the Illawarra, NSW and Australia as both an athlete and a coach across a variety of sports. A PDHPE teacher with over 20 years of experience, Scott prides himself on providing the opportunity for the wholistic development of athletes of all ages and abilities in order to achieve to their full potential.

While Scott still enjoys racing, he has more recently found a passion for coaching. He has coached athletes of all ages and abilities and prides himself on creating opportunities for athletes to grow and develop in the sport of triathlon. Scott holds a number of significant roles within the Triathlon Community with his main focus being on the growth and development of junior athletes.

Coaching Philosophy
While Scott understands the importance of achieving personal success in the sport of triathlon, his coaching philosophy is more focussed around the development of skill, knowledge and understanding to enhance long term athletic growth and development. He prioritises training efficiently and effectively through the implementation of high-quality programs while maintain a fun, yet challenging environment that fosters not only a love of triathlon but a love of physical activity and overall health and wellbeing.
